Our 28-bed Adult Inpatient Program provides thorough, individualized diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of acute symptoms utilizing a comprehensive and multi-faceted approach to patient care. Working in close partnership with patients and families, clinicians create a customized treatment plan for each individual based on the specific symptoms, the severity of the symptoms, and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses. The adult program provides care treatment and service to individuals ages 18 and older experiencing mental health crises such as Adjustment disorders, Anxiety disorders, Bipolar disorder, Depressive disorders, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Psychosis, Schizoaffective disorder, Schizophrenia. The inpatient focus is on acute stabilization, as well as transitioning patients to less intensive treatment options, or safely and independently, to their home, community residence, or another outpatient treatment setting. The intensive, short-term, 24-hour care on the adult inpatient unit has a length of stay that varies between 5 and 7 days.
The treatment team for the adult population includes psychiatrists, internal medicine physicians, registered nurses, behavioral health specialists, rehabilitation therapists, social workers, case management, as well as other specialty services as needed. We offer a structured program that includes group therapy individual psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, leisure activities, as well as music and expressive therapies. Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy is incorporated as appropriate.
